Penile Augmentation / Enlargement
Penis enlargement, sometimes called male enhancement, refers to a variety of techniques intended to increase the Girth and Length of the penis. In some instances, men might suffer from a smaller penis due to a particular genetic or hormonal condition. Men seek out penile enlargement methods due to various physical and psychological reasons.
Physical Factors: Conditions such as Peyronie’s disease and prostate cancer are among the biological reasons men prefer to get penis enlargement.
Peyronie’s disease causes the penis to bend at an abnormal angle and trigger a condition called fibrosis. Fibrosis causes scarring at the bending of the penis, and it can result in the penis becoming shorter, along with erectile dysfunction.
When one suffers from prostate cancer, the surgical treatment known as radical prostatectomy involves removing the entire prostate and tissues from the surrounding area resulting in fibrosis. As a result, loss of length in the penis becomes evident.
Psychological Factors: There are specific standards when it comes to penis sizes, and some men believe that they are below average when it comes to sexual performance due to their penis size. This results in lower self-esteem and the inability to participate in sexual intercourse fully. Penile augmentation may be able to help men avoid feeling inferior due to their smaller penis size.
There are surgical and non-surgical methods for penis enlargement that we can use.
Non Surgical Procedures
1. The Priapus Shot or called P-Shot, is an all-natural male enhancement procedure. This technique is specially designed to provide long-lasting effects that cannot be achieved through other male enhancement treatments. The P-Shot delivers a solution to those men who have lost sensation due to prostate enlargement, prostate cancer, and other chronic conditions such as diabetes. Growth factors that are extracted from your own blood in a special technique that is then injected into the penis under local anaesthesia to promote growth and rejuvenate the penile erectile tissue. The result is a harder erection that is also bigger and fuller. A series of injections are required over a period of 3-4 months to achieve a satisfactory result. It is a safe and effective method that results in general enhancement.
2. Suitable Candidates
Any male candidates seeking to improve their sexual wellbeing and performance are suitable for the P-Shot. Men often face erectile dysfunction once they reach the ages of 35 to 65, and the P-Shot is designed to fix their sexual problems, especially for men who suffer from various penile disorders. All candidates must also be in optimum health, and they should be fully confident in the treatment.
2. Dermal Fillers. Penile enlargement with the use of special dermal fillers: this results mainly in girth enhancement without enhancing the length or erection hardness. Achieving significant results in the same day. Top up injections may be required after 12-18 months due to absorption of the filler material.
For those who prefer minimally invasive procedures to gain their ideal penis size, the injection method can provide optimal results. Before the application of dermal fillers, the area will be thoroughly cleansed, and an anesthetic will be applied to the penis.
Hyaluronic acid-based penis injections have been used safely for over a decade, mainly to fill in facial wrinkles and increase the volume of the lips. The injections are applied to the shaft of the penis, and the procedure takes approximately 30 minutes. The latest generation of fillers are used in non-surgical nose jobs and penile augmentations.
Hyaluronic acid-based injections typically last until 18 months after the procedure is carried out, and it is a reversible method of penile enlargement. The dermal filler is given to the patient according to the current size of their penis, and how much bigger they want it to be.
This approach has been used in Germany, South Korea, and the United States since 2010, and is now available in Dubai.
Both of these procedures are performed in our centre by Dr Alkhayal who is a pioneer of this field in Dubai.
Advanced Surgical Penoplasty
A penoplasty is a surgical procedure that can increase the size of the penis by increasing either the length, girth (width) or both.
To increase the length, an incision will be made above the base of the shaft. Through this we can partially release the penile suspensory ligament, thus allowing the shaft to be brought forward, thereby lengthening it externally by, typically, one to two inches (2.5cm-5cm). We usually adopt a modified advanced technique to prevent postoperative shortening of the ligament.
Men with a prominent pubic fat pad may gain more visible length by doing a liposuction to this area. This increase in length is in the flaccid position only and some men may find that the angle of the erection may be slightly lower.
The increase in girth, involves a small amount of liposuction of the stomach or thigh areas to collect fat, followed by re-introduction of the fat by injection along the shaft. The usual increase in girth (circumference) is about 1 inch (2.5cm). The fat injection is done through a special cannula and so there will be no surgical incision.
Possible post-operative fat re-absorption and nodule formation can be minimized by limiting the amount of fat injected at one time. The girth enlargement is restricted to being slightly bigger than the tip. The enlargement of the shaft will be apparent in both the flaccid and erect states.
To ensure a natural appearance, we increase both the length and girth at the same time, although it is possible to have either only the lengthening or enlargement (girth). The functionality will be completely normal in terms of erection, sensation and urination.
A penoplasty is mostly a day-case procedure, and will be performed under local anesthetic with IV sedation (this is, not general anesthetic). Sometimes we keep the patient overnight to avoid complications.
You will be completely pain free during the procedure, and will not remember anything about the procedure. The operation usually takes between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on whether you have enlargement, lengthening or both.
Recovery in the post-procedure period requires rest for at least two weeks with minimal strain on your body. The patient should also avoid the gym and other strenuous activities for at least four weeks after the surgery. Moreover, engaging in sexual activities of any kind should be held off for around six weeks after getting a penoplasty.
