Dr. Shawket, the urologist is a very good urologist surgeon, polite and patient to listen to the sick. He and his nurse staff are trying their best. I hope he succeeds in definitively erradicating the erectile ailment.
Clinic location is excellent but the clinic needs to be advertised more through newspaper and patient experience must be made known in newspaper, etc. Shockwave therapy success rate needs to be known to public.
I am very happy with their service.
I really appreciate your professional work.
AC is cold, but overall excellent .
Excellent Service .
What Is Urology?
Urology is a medical speciality that deals with the treatment of urological diseases. Urological diseases refer to conditions that relate to the filtering and carrying of urine out of the body. These diseases can affect men, women and even children of all ages. Urological diseases can affect particular parts of the body, which can be mild or severe. In females, they mainly involve the urinary tract system, whereas, for males, they affect both the urinary tract system and the reproductive organs.
Doctors specialising in the field of urology are called urologists and are extensively trained to diagnose, detect and treat urological diseases and related conditions. Some urologists treat general urinary tract diseases, whereas some specialise in a particular type of urology.
Under the urinary tract system, urology covers parts such as kidneys, uterus, bladder urethra and adrenal glands. For male reproductive systems and genitals, urology involves parts such as the penis, prostate and testicles.
Common Conditions Treated Under Urology
- Cancers of the bladder, kidneys, penis, testicles, adrenal and prostate glands
- Erectile dysfunction, or any trouble getting or keeping an erection
- Fertility issues
- Interstitial cystitis, also called painful bladder syndrome
- Kidney diseases

When To Consult A Urologist?
You can consult a urologist for any problems concerning your urinary tract, from mild urinary issues like urinary tract infections (UTI) to severe ailments like cancer. Males, in specific, can consult a urologist for any problems they experience in their reproductive system or genitals.
In most cases, your primary doctor will refer you to a urologist when certain your symptoms persist for long or don’t improve. Here are some common symptoms that indicate you need to visit a urologist.
- A recurring need to urinate urgently
- Burning sensation or pain during urination
- Difficulty urinating
- Pain in lower back, pelvis, or sides
- Presence of blood in the urine (hematuria)
- Urine leakage
- Weak urine flow or dribbling
Apart from these, you should also visit a urologist if you are a man and have the following symptoms.
- A lump in one of the testicles
- Difficulty attaining or keeping an erection
- Fertility issues
- Elevated PSA
- Pain in the testicles
- Enlarged prostate
- A decrease in sexual desires
Depending on your symptoms and related diagnoses, different treatment methods can be employed depending on the condition. Urological treatments can include both surgical and non-surgical options. While surgery is often suggested as a last resort, they are commonly carried out to remove tumours, kidney stones, parts of the kidney, strictures in the urethra, and kidney transplant.
